I guess some years ago I signed up for penn foster never got on. There or used the schooling I don't even remember signing up so that should tell u enough well I enrolled in the high school + veterinary school a few days ago I try to sign my enrollment paper but can't because I have an account wit a 1000+ hold on it and I can't start school till I get the Hold off and to that They want me to pay the old account I think is un fair cause they are not loosing out on any money cause I ne er used old account and instead of them lookin into the old a. AccOunt more to solve the problem so I can start They just say give us sum money then u can start up classes y should I haveto pay for service I never used plus my new classes I thought pemn foster was Ll about stude

Please respond. My daughter is receiving unfair treatment. It is impossible to speak to someone in authority.

I signed up for a medical terminology course and elected to make payments, Penn Foster took out the first 150.00 right away and then sent me an email of a payment being due in 3 days. This is stupid, If i was going to pay 150.00 on the 18th and then another 150.00 on the 24th of August I would have paid for the course in full and saved 75.00.

SO my question is, why would you charge me again in 3 days instead of charging me a month later in September? This seems a little un-ethical to me, most people make payments because they can not or do not want to pay it all at one time. It does not seem there is anyway of contacting anyone in the billing dept., so there is also that issue.

The course paid in full would have been 324.00, you are basically taking 300.00 in a period of 5 days so if I was going to do that why wouldn't I just pay the extra 24.00 and pay in full????? That would make more sense right?????

I graduated from penn foster high school in march of 2019 and immediately began the paralegal associates degree program. When I started the high school program I paid the tuition in full but I went with the payment plan for the college program.

After only 3 or 4 months the school somehow screwed up my payments and locked me out of my courses. I called and spoke with someone and was told in order to resume my classes I would have to pay just $100.00 because of a mistake that they made. I eventually broke down and paid it but was still unable to resume my courses with no explanation, so I had no choice but discontinue my program since I was unable to access the materials. At that point I hadn't even completed 20% of the program yet but when they hit my credit report, they were coming after me for the full $1,800.00 tuition.

When I called they said I only actually owed just over $700.00 so I asked about setting up a payment plan to pay $100.00 a month to pay it off and they told me if I make payments I have to pay the whole $1,800.00 and I do not get to complete my course even after its paid and that the only way I would get to pay only the $700.00 I actually owed was to pay it in full. After dealing with very rude people I finally contacted the BBB and they saw to it that the whole thing was removed from my credit report saying this was illegal practices. a few months later they tried to put the debt back on my report for only the amount I actually owed of $700.00 and they put it under a completely company name so again BBB got it removed for me and now I have a fraud alert on my credit report for this school so it doesn't happen again. I am now enrolled in large big name online university who is about $650.00 cheaper each semester.

they also offer government financial aid and other programs and low monthly payments and as I said they are a big name university not a knock off second rate wanna be. DO NOT TRUST penn foster. They are a scam and a total rip off!!! They make you think they are the only school to let you go at your own pace and offer low monthly payments but they arent.

Do your research before attending this school. i know id much rather graduate from a REAL university and to to mention at a much lower cost.

I will receive my associates degree to be a paralegal for around $3,400.00. When you pay for and complete your first 3 semesters you can request ton have the fees for the fourth completely waived as long as you payments stay current and you have passing grades.
